Is the QA validator free?
Yes - all 35 checks, the AI semantic one included, with no sign-up. The AI pass calls a language model, so without an account it runs 10 times a day; the other 33 have no ceiling at all.
How many languages does it cover?
101 - the full CLDR locale set. Punctuation, quotation marks, digit grouping and spacing rules are applied per locale, not one-size-fits-all.
What does it check?
Placeholder and tag mismatches, number and date changes, punctuation and spacing, doubled words, untranslated segments, glossary and forbidden-term violations, plus your own regex rules - 35 checks in total.
What is the AI semantic check?
A language-model pass that catches meaning errors the surface checks cannot see - mistranslations, negation flips, swapped entities, a dropped condition. It runs on top of the other checks and is on by default.
Do you store my text?
No. Your text is checked in memory on our servers in Germany, and the result is held for one hour so you can download it, then it is deleted. With the AI meaning check on, the segment text goes to a language model through OpenRouter (US), with training off; untick the check and nothing leaves our servers.
Is it MQM-compatible?
Yes. Every finding maps to an MQM category and severity, so the report drops into an MQM-based QA workflow.
