Terms of Service

By signing up for ChatsControl or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. Parties

The service is provided by Individual Entrepreneur Dmytro Buslov ("we", "ChatsControl"). The user ("you") is the person who created the account.

2. What we offer

ChatsControl is an AI document translation service: upload a DOCX, PDF, or scan, get a translation with the original formatting preserved. Translation is performed by large language models (LLMs); OCR is used for scanned documents.

3. Your account

• One email = one account. Don't share your password; you're responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be 16 or older.
• We may terminate access for violations of these terms with notice via email.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use ChatsControl for:

• Uploading material you don't have the rights to (copyright infringement, NDAs, confidential third-party data).
• Documents containing content prohibited by law (pornography, especially involving minors; content promoting terrorism or violence).
• Automated abuse: brute-forcing the API, scraping, rate-limit circumvention.
• Reverse engineering, exploiting plan limits, or attempting to access other users' data.

5. Translation quality and limitations

We are not liable for:

• Translation errors caused by source-text specifics, rare terminology, or unclear scans.
• Consequences of using a translation without human review (legal, financial, medical).
• Temporary unavailability of the service (maintenance, third-party outages, force majeure).

Partner certified translators

On our certified translation page we feature services from partner human translators with relevant credentials. We verify their diplomas and experience before listing them on the site, but legally we act as an information intermediary: responsibility for the quality of any certified translation rests with the translator, not with ChatsControl. The certified translation contract is between you and the translator.

6. Pricing and billing

• The free plan has a monthly character limit.
• Paid plans renew automatically; cancel any time in your account settings.
• Payments are processed by Stripe; prices are quoted exclusive of VAT (as a Ukrainian sole proprietor on the simplified tax system, we are not a VAT payer).
• Refunds: within 14 days of payment if you've used less than 10% of the plan volume. Email help@chatscontrol.com.

7. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents you upload. We use your content only to provide the translation service. We don't share your documents with third parties except the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy, and only to the extent needed to perform the translation.

8. Intellectual property

The service, code, design, and ChatsControl brand belong to us. You receive no rights to any of it beyond the right to use the service as intended.

9. Limitation of liability

ChatsControl's maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You may delete your account any time in settings. We may discontinue the service with 30 days' notice (refunding any prepaid unused period pro rata).

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Disputes are heard in the Ukrainian courts at the provider's place of registration. If you are an EU consumer, your local consumer protection laws may grant additional rights that these terms do not override.

12. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. We'll notify you of material changes by email 14 days in advance. Continued use after that means acceptance.
